Wars and Rumors of Wars
Our world is getting more dangerous and violent with each passing day. Where will it end? What are the signs for the return of Christ?
Did you know Jesus questioned whether He would find faith on earth when He returned?
Did you know the Apostle Paul said, there would be a great falling away just before Christ returns to the earth? It seems there will be people we thought were Christians and making progress will slip backwards. They will begin to act more like the lost world than saved people.
Did you know Jesus said there will be wars and rumors of wars near His return? He went on to say, “See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”
Did you know the Apostle Paul said that it is possible to fall from grace. Read about that in Galatians 5:4. How does that square with the eternal security of the believer?
Did you know that the writer to the Hebrews wrote, “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God and put Him to an open shame.”
Did you know Jesus said the day of His return will be a fairly normal day? He said, “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage.
Did you know the Apostle Paul said Christ’s return will catch us by surprise? He wrote, it will happen in the twinkling of an eye. The twinkling of an eye is the time it takes light to enter an eye at a speed of 186,000 miles per second, touch the retina and return to the surface of your eye. That is fast. All of this is very alarming.
These are critical days. The enemy is ramping up his attacks on people. His goal is to keep lost people lost and saved people confused and discontent.
