Transformation: Good or Bad?
Most people would agree we live in a very complex and confused world. Changes are happening in record-setting proportions. Two questions are in order as we impact the world and the world impacts us. What is God’s will for your life? What is the worlds will for your life?
One truth, I am guessing we would all agree with is - things and people do not remain the same. In small ways and in significant ways change is happening in us and around us, with us or without us. Transformation is happening.
Transformation means a change in form, appearance, nature, or character. Transformation is happening in each of us. The question is, is it good or bad?
The way to tell, when change is bad for us is when we embrace what is unhealthy, unholy, offensive, and destructive. The way we can tell when change is good for us it when we embrace and seek that which is healthy, holy, pure, and good.
Change is happening every day in my body, in the vehicle I drive, and the house where I live. Some of these changes I cannot see and I cannot stop from happening. But some changes in my life I can do something about.
Life and time are pressing forward. The older we get the faster the pace seems to be. The question is which way are we headed? Is our current path leading us to healthy transformation or unhealthy transformation?
A wise philosopher once said, “If you live long enough, you have regrets. The ones that nag at you the most are the ones where you know you had a choice.”
The world wants to transform your thinking that God does not exist even though you know, deep down in your heart, He does. The world wants you to believe you will not have to give an account of your life to Him, even though you know deep down in your heart, you will. The world wants you to think you can do anything you want to with your body without consequences, even though you know deep down in your heart, that is not true.
If you don’t like the direction, your current path of transformation is taking you, do you have someone to talk to? If I can be that someone give me a call.
Until we get to chat, remember, and apply these most timely words from Romans 12:2. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may know what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Most of you reading this article would go out of your way to help a family member, friend, neighbor, or coworker. The question is – is it time to go out of your way to make an investment in yourself and your future? Begin to chart a course in the morning for good transformation.
